JACKSON, Miss., February 28, 2026 — JAMAS Capital Management announces the retirement of William Wicker, JAMAS Controller and Chief Accounting Officer, who concluded his distinguished career with the organization at the end of February.
Since 2005, Wicker served as controller and treasurer for the Turnage companies at the JAMAS level, overseeing all aspects of the company’s financial and tax management while serving as its chief financial spokesperson. During his tenure, he focused on financial strategy and advising leadership on key business decisions.
Wicker worked with JAMAS for more than 22 years and provided direct support to management on strategic and tactical matters related to financial and tax management, cost-benefit analysis and forecasting. His leadership and expertise helped strengthen the organization’s financial foundation and support its long-term growth.

A graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, Wicker has been a certified public accountant for more than 30 years. Throughout his career, he earned the respect of colleagues and leadership alike for his expertise and commitment to the organization’s mission and long-term success.
